Kyla's new hair!

Kyla turned eight months this week, and to celebrate she decided to sport a new hairdo! She's the reason we were running late this morning - typical girl!

The tongue, however, can be blamed on Dad!

The Famous Baker twins
Today I got to try my hand at shooting photos of newborn twins. It's something I've never done before, so I warned the family that things could be disastrous! Some of the pictures I wouldn't be willing to show anyone, but there are a few I'm happy with. Mostly, though, I'm hoping for a second chance in a few months!

Another Wedding!
May is my wedding month, and I am busy!!! This weekend was yet another beautiful wedding that was also very different from the last (but I still didn't get cake)!

Things I loved about this wedding...

The very attractive and fun bride and groom!

The HUGE wedding party! (the biggest I've seen yet, and they're not even all in this picture!)

The bold and vibrant colors!

Two very kind families that were a joy to be around!

The thing I didn't like about this wedding...

Somehow I missed the fact that the kiss would come in the middle of the ceremony rather than the end (as is the case for every other wedding I've shot), so I didn't get a shot of the real thing since my back was turned as I was walking back up the aisle. I was very bummed, but I got this replacement photo instead.

Kevin and Sam, you guys were a lot of fun packed into just a few short hours. Thanks for letting me be there to catch it all!

Photos from this event will be available online by Tuesday evening, May 20.

Two very different photo shoots!
I had two very different photo shoots yesterday and today. The first was my last senior portrait session for this school year and the other was the daughter of my friend Dawn. Thanks to Dawn I have curtains up in my studio and can now shoot indoor portraits with my lighting set up. Thanks, Dawn!

Congratulations, Seth, on finishing high school. Good luck in the field of diesel mechanics if that's what you choose. I already know you're much more intelligent than I as I have no mechanical abilities whatsoever!

Happy 3rd Birthday Baby "A"! I guess we can't call you a baby anymore since you're all grown up! You're one of the sweetest girls that my baby Kyla gets to grow up with!

And here's one of Baby "A" when she really was a baby and turning one year old!
More from Seth & Desiree's wedding!
Last night I finished proofing pictures from this wedding (or should I say early this morning)! As I was walking into the bedroom at about 2:00 am, Brian was coming out to find me and drag me off to bed! What can I say? I really wanted to get it done before this weekend's wedding.

My favorite things about this wedding...

The smiles on the faces of the groom's family members. If I didn't know better I'd think they were glad to be rid of him!

The obvious friendships shared by all!

The cute flower girl!

The sentimental yet hilarious toasts!

The crazy dancing!

The romantic dancing!

My least favorite thing about this wedding...

Beautiful wedding cake that I didn't get to eat! (The cake at each wedding looks better than the last, and I never get any!)

The pics from this wedding will be available on my website by Sunday evening!

Seth & Desiree
I don't want to forget about these two! I have tons of work to do now this week thanks to this beautiful wedding I attended over the weekend! It was a lot of fun and by far the best dancing I've seen at a wedding in a long time. The floor was always full!

The weather didn't exactly cooperate, but everyone was still in great spirits! Thanks, Seth and Desi, for letting me be a part of your big day. The details were beautiful!
More last minute senior pics...
This time the last minute pictures were for the incredible Elisabeth who has one of the most beautiful and natural smiles! I'll admit that by the time we got home today, the last thing I wanted to do was leave the house again. My bed was calling, and I really wanted a nap! But I'm so glad I went back out! It was definitely worth it!

Thank you, Elisabeth!
