The Layer family
This week I had the privilege of photographing this wonderful family. It was made especially fun by the fact that I've known these people for a very long time from way back into my childhood in Michigan. (I say "way back" since I am feeling especially old this week. I turn 29 on Saturday, and that number just feels a little bit weird.)

I also got caught up on some other work and put together some collages for a few clients. It's something I just started doing this year at the request of a few people, and it's starting to turn into a regular request. I'm thinking of adding it to my price list.

A wedding reshoot (and then some)
Yesterday I was able to meet David & Gwyn for a reshoot. If you've read past posts you know that their wedding day was rainy and hot, and we were unable to visit the Joseph & Sarah Levy Senior Center in Bolingbrook for pictures. It was still hot, but this time the sun was out in full force. While both types of weather bring with it its own challenge, I'll definitely take the sun over rain!

This little garden is truly a great location, and we had lots of fun (despite feeling as though we were roasting alive)!

Later in the day I was also able to shoot a few quick pics for this guy (well, actually for his mom). Most teen guys I know don't willingly have their portraits taken professionally unless they're graduating from high school! He was a good sport, and I'm happy with the results. I was even able to sneak in a few not so smiley pictures that make him look great! Moms don't always appreciate that, but I enjoy something different every now and then!
