Another update... and another random collection of photos from the last few months
The title says it all. I haven't been keeping up, so here's a sampling of what's been going on the last few months!

My baby... all grown up!

This guy, Johnny, is probably the one reason I still have a vehicle to drive! He's helped Brian out a lot in terms of automobile repair. Thanks, Johnny!

These kids were signing "I love you" for their deaf Great grandmother.

Yet more friends of ours welcomed a new baby into this world! Congrats, Matt & Deb. I hope baby T is letting you sleep tonight.

And on that note, I have a perfectly good excuse for letting things slide around here. We are expecting baby #2 in April, and I'm just now starting to feel better!

Baby V!
I got to take photos for more friends of ours (Rich & Jeanine) who had a baby! This one was already 12 weeks old before they made it in, but she was still at such a perfect age for photos! And in some ways I think she's even cuter than Kyla was at this age. Is it OK for a mom to think that out loud about her own child? :~)

Here's some of my favorites!

Baby N!!!
Our good friends, April & Ben, brought Baby N over for pics on Monday, and I was so excited! He is just too cute and funny looking! And tiny... He still weighs in at only 7 pounds something at 5 weeks old! Wow! Kyla was bigger than that at birth, so I wasn't quite sure what to do with him. :~)

Here's a few of my favorites! Congratulations, guys! I know you're thrilled to have Baby N (and very tired!)

I think he looks like he's smiling here!

Congratulations, Chad & Rinda!
The first wedding of the season is over, and I can breathe a sigh of relief! I always get a little nervous before a wedding because I know just how important the day is!

Chad & Rinda, you guys threw a perfect wedding. Even the heat couldn't mess it up! You were so laid back and just living in the moment, and I loved that about you guys. I hope you had as much fun as it looked like you were having, and I hope you're having fun in Vegas! (at least, I think that's where you went!)

Rinda, your bridesmaids were right... You picked the perfect look for your big day. You were beautiful!

I so rarely get to be close to the groom when the bride is coming down the aisle, but I was so glad to get that chance on this wedding! I think Chad's expression is priceless!
Yes, I'm still working!
I've had a lot of comments lately on my blog (as in, when are you going to update it, Heather?), but today was the icing on the cake! Trish, a client from last summer, wrote me asking about one year pictures for her son and newborn pics for the baby arriving this fall (congrats guys! You're crazy!), and she asked me if I was still working! And the answer is a resounding YES!!!!!

To be honest, I think about the blog all the time, but it's gradually slipped on the ladder of priorities. Everyone said my life would change YET AGAIN when Kyla started to walk, and they were absolutely right! She took her first step on Halloween (coincidentally about a week before my last post) and hasn't slowed down since.

So this post is for everyone who has asked (you will remain nameless as you are many). Thanks for all the prodding, nagging and pushing!

Here's a little sample of what's been going on since November of last year...

These dear friends celebrated 50 years of marriage! I'm pretty sure I won't have any hair left once Brian and I reach that milestone. Congrats, guys!

These two let me do preggo pics (not something I've done a whole lot of yet), and it was lots of fun!

This is baby "Daydee" (no where near his actual name) as Kyla calls him. I think she's developing a bit of a crush on him.

This baby prompted me to go out and buy my own tutu just for baby girl pics!

This was one of the best babies ever to photograph! He was so sweet and calm... (ie. nothing like Kyla)

I fell in love with this little girl (and her room and her girlie chandelier) as soon as I saw her!

One last preggo pic. This couple was a lot of fun to photograph, and I was glad to get another chance to do maternity pics!

I'm almost caught up!
I've been working on these wedding pictures for two weeks now (as well as lots and lots of fall family photos), and I'm finally getting around to putting them on the blog. (By the way, these photos can be viewed online later tonight!)

Artur and Julie Beth's wedding was my last for this season, and they took it out with a bang! I loved the fall colors they used in all the decorations, and the weather that day couldn't have been better. Thank God they didn't decide to get married today!

I also really loved the entrance-way they built into the reception hall. Very romantic! And no wedding cake for me, of course, but I did think it was a unique idea to hang candles from the ceiling.
And to top it all off, I loved how Artur and Julie were out on the dance floor all night enjoying themselves! Most couples last for a dance or two and then one of them disappears from the dance floor, but not these two! I'm sure the video will be treasured for many years to come. It can also serve as blackmail for some of their guests!

Good luck, Artur & Julie Beth. Your wedding was beautiful, and I thank you for allowing me to be a part of it.

I'm more than just behind...
I'm overwhelmed by all the pics I need to proof right now! So what am I doing? I'm blogging...

Here's a sampling of all the last minute fall pics (all taken out at the Birdhaven Greenhouse in Joliet).

More to come soon!

I'm behind...
I did a wedding yesterday, and I still haven't caught up on blogging from this last week!

I took pics for this beautiful family last week. Unfortunately, the leaves that had changed had mostly fallen, so some of the trees were bare. Fall never quite lasts long enough! We had fun anyways. I'm realizing how I need to get in shape to chase after my own soon to be toddler! This little boy kept me busy.

I also wanted to mention that the mom of this family is named Jennifer. She is the one of the owners and event coordinators for Bella Sera Events. You can check them out at www.miabellasera.com.
